ABOUT OUR SCHOOL

Most of the students and trainees at the school are from very poor backgrounds. The pupils arrive at the school with varyingly poor levels of literacy and numeracy. The school's main aim is to teach them the basic literacy and numeracy skills needed to succeed in public schools.

It was started by Mr. Mamud Billa, the late husband of Phyllis, in 1998 under a mango tree to help give hope to the many children who he often saw roaming the streets while their friends were in school. He was a teacher at the school, but this hardworking young man unfortunately died in 2016.

students are taught basic lessons in mathematics and English.

The students are taught basic lessons in mathematics and English. The school also has a football academy for children who are interested in playing football as a career or as a hobby. The football academy has the following teams: under 10s, 12s, 14s, 17s, and an adult team (which plays in the 3rd Division of Ghanaian football). There is also a female team between the ages of 7 and 16 years old playing in the Greater Accra first and second division leagues under the Ghana Football Association (G.F.A.).
