Join Pro-Passion Projects in Ghana as a childcare volunteer and work closely with local schools, orphanages, and childcare centers. This program is designed for anyone passionate about supporting children, from volunteers seeking meaningful experiences to university students interested in education, social work, or community development.

Gain hands-on experience in early childhood education, mentorship, and community engagement while exploring Ghanaian culture.

What You’ll Do

Childcare volunteers at Pro-Passion Projects participate in:

  • Assisting teachers with classroom management and educational activities.
  • Leading recreational activities, arts, and creative learning sessions.
  • Mentoring children and offering academic support.
  • Supporting daily routines such as meal times, hygiene, and care.
  • Organizing and participating in community and holiday events for children.
  • Observing local teaching methods and contributing to program development.

Note: All activities are supervised by experienced local teachers and program coordinators.

Who Can Volunteer

  • Age: 16
  • Passion for childcare, education, and community service
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Commitment: 2+ weeks
  • Open to students, gap-year volunteers, professionals, and anyone who wants to make a difference

No prior teaching experience is required — just a caring attitude and willingness to learn!

Placement Locations

  • Future Leaders Underprivileged School – La, Accra
  • James Town Gbekebii School – Accra
  • Local community centers and childcare programs in surrounding neighborhoods

Volunteers work Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM, with flexible schedules for weekends to explore cultural activities.
